Well, got a lot of reading done during exam proctoring on Saturday, but achieved approximately nothing yesterday (as I slept late and vegetated for a large part of the day). So this balances out to my average amount of weekend work, which is not good given I have a presentation tomorrow and a presentation Thursday. WOE.

Let's Positive Linking!
- I had not heard that Chuck Palahniuk came out. I have to admit I was highly amused by reading about the homophobic Fight Club fans who were all "NOOOOO MY MANLY COUNTERCULTURE IDOL CANNOT HAVE TEH GAY!!!1!" XD
- OHSHIT IT'S A NINJA. Seriously, this guy is awesome. Why can't we have fun shows like this? (The closest we ever got was American Gladiators, I think, which was awesome cheesy fun...whatever happened to that show anyway?)
- Also, society is officially over with. (This and above from [livejournal.com profile] jokersama.) That link has a YouTube video. Where a radio show in Jacksonville offered free Larry the Cable Guy tickets to people who were willing to make out with their moms. And sure enough, the mom and daughter in this video "git 'er done" with a 60-second liplock WITH TONGUE AUGH MAKE IT STOP

Welp, I have listening to half a dozen speeches and a billion (okay, or three) office hours to look forward to today. Hopefully I'll get a lot of work done.

Let's Positive Linking!
- Twenty years of Funky Winkerbean, summed up in six panels. CANCER INCEST, WOO!
- How to masturbate an elephant. (Honestly, where does [livejournal.com profile] jokersama come up with these links?) You never know, knowing how to perform an elephant prostate massage might come in useful!
- Colin Farrell and Lindsay Lohan as Cesare and Lucrezia Borgia NOES. This movie is determined to make me cry, isn't it? I mean, LiLo can be bitchy at times, but I don't think I can buy her as Lucrezia Borgia; and Colin Farrell as Cesare isn't much better.
- Clay Aiken Does Afghanistan. OBI-WAN GAYNOBI, YOU'RE MY ONLY HOPE!
- A new perfume that may be of interest to y'all. (From [livejournal.com profile] naruto_nerd.) I love its tagline: "authentically natural vaginal flavor." Where do people come up with these ideas?
gogmagog: The Fourth Doctor from Doctor Who (It's time for sweets!)
Wow, today I got absolutely nothing done. (Aside from a mild bit of cleaning.) I did, however, eat a crapload of junk food. I had snacks left over from [livejournal.com profile] iowayehudit's party last night, plus some others I'd bought, so I ended up eating a third of a box of Cheez-Its, several handfuls of Doritos and over a pound of Twizzlers this morning. HOLY GOD I'M OUT OF CONTROL. D:

Anyway, I DID manage to watch the new episode of Ouran High School Host Club, as well as giving Gakuen Heaven a try. And had retarded chats with [livejournal.com profile] enkiae and [livejournal.com profile] bemysty on IRC about them. XD

madness lies within )

Then this evening I went over to [livejournal.com profile] lordtravis and [livejournal.com profile] teachingmusic's to watch Outland, a cheesy '80s sci-fi movie loosely based on High Noon, with Sean Connery and lots of exploding heads due to depressurization. It was not half bad, surprisingly (given Connery's track record with sci-fi *cough*Zardoz*cough*)!

Afterwards Jess was having a craving for cake, so we all piled in and went to DQ to pick up an ice cream cake. Then we came back and ate some while watching Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, which was on TV and was kind of awesomely funny and is worth watching if for nothing else than Neil Patrick Harris (a.k.a. Doogie Howser) snorting coke off an anonymous hoochie's ass while standing up in a moving (stolen) car - while playing himself. XD

After that, though, both Jess and I were craving greasy burgers (damn the prominent White Castle product placement!) and so we dragged Travis off on ANOTHER food run, this time to Steak'n'Shake. (Mmm, burgers.) Then he and I dropped Jess off and Travis brought me home, where I sent him back with my PS2 and some games to borrow (since I'm gonna be gone for three weeks, SOMEONE might as well be enjoying them till I get back!).

- Yaoi manga have gotten very cracktastic. This is from Sakurai Shushushu's Vibrator Company, a heartwarming story of the gay love between two vibrator salesmen, currently being posted on [livejournal.com profile] yaoi_daily. How can you not love a manga with this kind of crack?
- And another awesome parody trailer, this time for Titanic 2: Jack's Back (sadly, not as a zombie). This amused me far more than it should have, probably because I'm sleepy.
- Best quiz EVER. (From [livejournal.com profile] rathershady.) Seriously, it's quite accurate. XD
- On eBay, a very pretty antique bed set that happens to be the one Lee Harvey Oswald was conceived on. Seriously, I'd totally buy it if I had the money, it's very pretty!
- Kit-Kat + Ringu = DELISHUS, apparently. (From [livejournal.com profile] enkiae.) Of course, the Skittles video game came long before. XD

...I leave for Kansas City tomorrow (well, today now) afternoon. So I'll be in KC in less than 24 hours.
gogmagog: The Fourth Doctor from Doctor Who (Pissed off Hot Pants)
Dammit, I hate losing an hour SO MUCH ARGH. >F

...Okay, I haven't posted in a while basically because I wanted to finish the first part of my ginormous Suikoden V gameblog to date.

So without further ado, TEH GAMEBLOG.

In which incest, gay bishounen, and MILFs are all mentioned )

Er, in other videogame talk, I decided against Kingdom Hearts II for now; I barely have time to play one game at the moment, and moneywise it came down to one or the other. I'm sure I'll get it eventually - probably as a reward to myself for finishing finals - but right now I'm sticking to SuikoV. But dammit, now I really wish I had gotten KH2 as well. XD

Let's see, what else has gone on lately...oh, yesterday I went to hang out with [livejournal.com profile] lordtravis, [livejournal.com profile] teachingmusic and [livejournal.com profile] bshippotemkin to watch The Brotherhood of the Wolf, which was a delightfully cheesy French action flick about the Beast of Gevaudan. It was better than I was expecting, and the first half was actually pretty historically accurate! (Well, except for the kung fu Indian.) After that it got a little more ridiculous (...okay, a lot more ridiculous) but it was still fun. :D

Also, apropos of nothing, painting illuminated letters is a ridiculous amount of fun. So is putting gold leaf on them - it's so shiny! +_+

Links to follow tomorrow, I don't really feel like organizing and formatting them right now.
gogmagog: The Fourth Doctor from Doctor Who (Even Dumbledore loves BPAL)
Wow, I enjoy Byron so much. He's so readable and snarky!

Also, incest has continued as a running motif in all my classes, and cannibalism has joined it as another theme...both subjects came up in both of my classes today. But I can't really argue with that - as one of my classmates said this afternoon, "Incest and cannibalism are two of my favorite things." And I wholeheartedly agree.

...er, just to clarify, that's to read about, not to practice. XD

Well, my BPAL "mystery lot" arrived today. So, more reviews! :D

BPAL: De Sade )

BPAL: Inferno )

BPAL: Gaueko )

Huh...one definite keeper two definite keepers out of three isn't bad AT ALL (especially given they're part of a mystery lot). Coming up, Dublin, Aquarius, Languor, and the tantalizingly named voodoo oil All Night Long. :D
gogmagog: The Fourth Doctor from Doctor Who (Incest is best!)
Wow, for some reason incest has been the watchword of the week. Between looking at the sources and reasons for incest taboos in theory class, discussing the incestuous implications of Mansfield Park, discussing father-daughter marriage in my Chaucer class (we're doing the Clerk's Tale), and watching Gilgamesh, I'm beginning to sense a theme.

And I just got Tanya Huff's Smoke and Mirrors from the library* (it's part of her new series, which I like, about a gay production assistant on a Canadian Angel-esque show who happens to be the associate of a vampire and learning to be a wizard), and the two ghosts who kind of trigger the story and have played a major part in it so far (they're even on the cover) are a brother and sister who were killed by their father for, er... *points to icon*

I hope the world isn't trying to tell me something, because ew.

* = I totally mistyped that "lubrary," which gave me odd visions of like a place where you check out various kinds of lube. Though I really don't want to think about what happens when they get returned. XD

Edit: OMG FURUBA HOODIES I WANT HARU
