Courtesy of Cake Wrecks' "Sunday Sweets" (i.e., non-wreck) feature, check out this cake: best wedding cake ever, or BEST wedding cake ever?

In other news, I am now a confirmed Lushie. In addition to my already-documented love for their bath bombs, I will swear by their American Cream conditioner and, even more so, their King of the Mods hair gel (also yay, Mighty Boosh reference!). My hair is softer than it's ever been and, for the first time in my life, it is actually manageable and obedient even on days when I don't wash it! Also the hair gel has the most amazing lime and grapefruit smell, and serves as a great pick-me-up on those early morning days where I'd so much rather still be in bed instead of actually up and around doing stuff.

Finally, my AWOL-ness should abate at least SOME after this week, since I should then hopefully be finished with a draft of my comps portfolio and then just have to do revising and reading, and no more actual writing. Also next week is our Spring Break, so I won't have any fixed time commitments like teaching or tutoring or events taking away from my comps preparation time (and hence will hopefully at least be able to start checking my flist again!).

I love their Lemony Flutter cuticle butter, especially in the winter. It smells wonderful and moisturises your hands and nails like nothing else. (I also love their Ultra Bland eye makeup remover, but I'd imagine you don't have as much use for that.)

Also, re: the cake wreck - who has a wedding cake like that? Seriously. Are they letting 5th graders get married nowadays?

I thought the Ultra Bland was just a general cleanser for really sensitive skin? (Though obviously sensitive enough even to be used around one's eyes.)

Yeah, I also like their Cosmetic Lad moisturizer (smells kinda like Froot Loops!) and their various bath bombs/melts/bars/etc. I think their Lemslip buttercream smells like Lemony Flutter, from what I hear, and Lemslip smells really good, so clearly I need to check that out at some point!

Also maybe the bride and groom met through a Ninja Turtle fan group or something? I will admit that I find geek-themed weddings kind of awesome (the finale to The Vicar of Dibley, with the maid of honor dressed like the Tenth Doctor and the bridesmaids dressed as Daleks, is basically #1 on the list of weddings I'd most like to go to), so I love the TMNT wedding cake even if it's clearly not for everyone. XD

Maybe it is a general cleanser, I can't remember. But it does fantastic work with eye makeup AND it's not considered a liquid or gel so I don't have to stick it in my stupid 1 quart plastic bag when I fly and don't check bags. XD That's actually the reason I bought it in the first place. XD

I like the bath bombs in theory but I can't use bubblebath or bath salts. Sucks to be me.

I also have one of their massage bars (the cinnamon one with azuki beans) and if you are ever in the position to give/get backrubs, the experience is quite pleasant.

And the chocolate lip balm is pretty amazing too. I can't remember if it's shiny or not. You may want to verify this before you end up looking as fabulous as your lip balm tastes. ;)

Is this a recognized word for ninja turtle fans? I am kind of horrified.

No, it's an unrecognized word for the subvariety of furry who likes Ninja Turtles and other reptiles (who aren't exactly furry, hence the name change).

Haha, yosi likes lush? :D

I use their tea tree toner and enzymion moisturizer, occasionally some other things (especially when they have bonuses or samples).  I've also tried a few of their solid shampoos, but I don't notice a huuuuge difference, so I'll probably try to see if it's economically feasible before getting any more of that....

That cake is amazing!  I feel kind of sad that the turtles must get progressively smaller, though. :(

Like I told [livejournal.com profile] eikitty, I also like their Cosmetic Lad moisturizer, and what I forgot to mention to her is that I really like their Olive Branch solid perfume (which happens to blend quite nicely with the super-fruity King of the Mods hair gel).

Also clearly Raphael is the cake-orderer's favorite, which is fine with me because he's my favorite too. XD

Maybe I'm just being a naive boob, but I always thought being a lush had something to do with boozing it up. o.o

Being a lush does! Being a Lushie, on the other hand, just means you are a fan of Lush products.
