Spring Break! Woohoo, now I can spend a shitload of time doing research at the library!
...okay, and relax. Admittedly, it's not Cancun or anything, but it's still pretty good just to have a break from classes for a week.
Oh, I have a story that I've been meaning to tell
rathershady and
courters28. A couple of weekends ago I went to the co-op near my house and picked up produce for the first time - well, ever, pretty much, certainly since I moved here - and naturally brought it home to put in the fridge. I opened the crisper, and what should I find but an ancient lime?
...Yes, it was that poor spare lime from back in, what, September? XD Anyway, I told you both that I'd probably never use the crisper and it would sit in there for months, and by God I was right! Though the joy of "I told you so" is leavened by the fact that having opened Pandora's crisper, even keeping it closed didn't keep a rather nasty smell from permeating my fridge for a few days. D:
...I have been saving up linkspam for far too long, and y'all are the recipients. I know you all feel SO LUCKY right now. XD
Let's Positive Linking!
- Family shows possibility of devolution? Kind of scary (especially since it seems to be just one gene) and insanely interesting simultaneously.
- The French and the Saunders. A Lord of the Rings parody which is hilarious. Their Harry Potter parody is worth watching too, if for nothing else than that the person doing the Maggie Smith impersonation is SPOT-ON. XD
- Create Your Own Zoo. This looks like it would be fun to do, actually (especially the ostrich one). XD
- Hard Gay crotch-thrusts in 3D! (From
nemissa.) I like the flying. XD
- An awesome crocheted katamari, that also happens to be magnetic so things will stick to it. (From
rathershady.)
- The Ultimate MS Paint. (From
angrybabble.) There's some controversy about it (though probably unwarranted), but it's worth seeing anyway.
- Great captions for military diagrams. (From
enkiae.) I'm posting it solely for the third one, which made me laugh entirely too much. XD
- Penis restaurant opens in China. I believe that headline speaks for itself.
- SNL's Natalie Portman rap, which actually made me like her again. XD
- Apparently a 5-year-old girl having a baby is NOT an urban legend. (From
jokersama.) D:
- The Lecture Musical. When I teach, I hope my students do something like this. XD
- Thomas Kinkade, the aggressively Christian "Painter of Light" (tm), apparently an asshole boozehound. (From
ryuusama.) Quelle surprise.
...sadly, this is after cutting out about 2/3 of the links I was originally going to post. XD
