Welp, reading Shelley's "The Cenci" for tomorrow. Incest and patricide, yay! And our Chaucer reading for tomorrow is the Prioress' Tale, which is an anti-Semitic story about how the evil Jews are killing saintly little Christian babies. I'm gonna try to avoid using the phrase "Baby, the other white meat" in class, but I think it may be a losing struggle.
...Honestly, sometimes I think I went into English lit solely for the fubar. XD
Also, GIP for my lovely new Hanatarou icon. <3 <3 <3
Let's Positive Linking!
- Wal-Mart employee gets fired for pointing out pagan origins of Christmas. Dude, trust Wal-Mart to fire someone for saying true stuff.
- 7th Heaven cancelled. HALLELUJAH. Is it wrong that this made me happy? Because seriously, that show is SUCH CRAP.
- HOMESCHOOLING CREATES KILLERS. That's right, y'all had better watch out for me, I'm unbalanced and dangerous! >F
Edit: The new Harry Potter comes out on Friday...
rathershady and
courters28, do you wanna go see it sometime next week when I'm up in KC? (Or Pride and Prejudice, if you've already got plans to see HariPo...I wanna eventually see both films anyway.)
In fact, y'know, I just realized...Gurindher Chadha and Keira Knightley worked together in Bend It Like Beckham, and then they both did film adaptations of Pride and Prejudice. Huh.

Date: 2005-11-14 02:15 am (UTC)But yeah, I ended up watching far too much 7th Heaven when Angel was on after it - I'd always end up watching like the last 10-15 minutes of every episode and being all "dear God why is this show even ON?"

Date: 2005-11-14 04:09 pm (UTC)Also, I definitely do not want to go opening weekend if we go here, Tuesday afternoon would be good for me. I am scared of the huge ass crowds and lines and stuff, so I think a weekday afternoon would be better and I don't have class then.
Okay, done rambling.

Too bad I didn't run into her there (although this was before she hit it big over here with Pirates of the Caribbean, so I might've and just not recognized her).
