Welp, reading Shelley's "The Cenci" for tomorrow. Incest and patricide, yay! And our Chaucer reading for tomorrow is the Prioress' Tale, which is an anti-Semitic story about how the evil Jews are killing saintly little Christian babies. I'm gonna try to avoid using the phrase "Baby, the other white meat" in class, but I think it may be a losing struggle.

...Honestly, sometimes I think I went into English lit solely for the fubar. XD

Edit: The new Harry Potter comes out on Friday...rathershady and courters28, do you wanna go see it sometime next week when I'm up in KC? (Or Pride and Prejudice, if you've already got plans to see HariPo...I wanna eventually see both films anyway.)

In fact, y'know, I just realized...Gurindher Chadha and Keira Knightley worked together in Bend It Like Beckham, and then they both did film adaptations of Pride and Prejudice. Huh.

Sadly I was never quite able to get into Arrested Development - I found it alternately pretty hilarious and snore-inducingly dull, and the dull parts kinda overcame the funny parts for me. :(

But yeah, I ended up watching far too much 7th Heaven when Angel was on after it - I'd always end up watching like the last 10-15 minutes of every episode and being all "dear God why is this show even ON?"

I wanted to take my brother to see Harry Potter when I was home over Thanksgiving, but he will be at his dad's so I don't know if that will be possible. So I'll let you know what I find out about that.

Also, I definitely do not want to go opening weekend if we go here, Tuesday afternoon would be good for me. I am scared of the huge ass crowds and lines and stuff, so I think a weekday afternoon would be better and I don't have class then.

However, speaking of Pride and Prejudice, did you know that Kiera Knightly is 20 years old! She has made like 6 films and she is 2 years younger than us! We are officially old.

Yeah...we're never gonna be wunderkinds. (On the other hand, though, her mother was a playwright and actress, so she totally had connections - she was acting when she was like six or seven.)

Though you know, she's from, and owns a flat in, Richmond-upon-Thames, which is like right next to Kingston where I was at during my year in England. Too bad I didn't run into her there (although this was before she hit it big over here with Pirates of the Caribbean, so I might've and just not recognized her).
