Well, between yesterday and today I marathoned the last half of Gilgamesh (thanks to my pimp enabler supplier
jokersama). I just finished the last episode, and all I can say is HOLY CRAP OMGWTF asrfasdohtdjklfdscgdfyuh
Holy crap. So the Countess was, in essence, responsible for everything? And, oh man, Touru, Fuu, Fujisaki, Tatsuya...all bit the dust. At least the Countess took out Kazamatsuri! But then the sky comes down and wipes out humanity?
Anyway, if I get this right, then Kiyoko's alien baby (who looks just like her) is reborn from the cocoon however many zillions of years later, sees Tear, and immediately stabs her with the tuning fork. Was this somehow Kiyoko's memories coming through and seeing how she was manipulated, and killing her in anger, or is Kiyoko Jr., who's supposedly the "new advanced humanity" with no more war, etc. (though how humanity is supposed to respawn from one person boggles the mind), some kind of psychotic sociopathic Darwinistic killer-type? 'Cause the psycho smile after the credits, as she and her tuning fork are covered with blood, kinda leads me to think the latter.
Seriously, DUDE, WHAT THE FUCK. I can't decide whether I like the ending or absolutely hate it.
jokersama, how does the manga end? Is it similar, or different?
Anyway, I've also been playing Tales of Symphonia.
vaulted_eel, you were right - the Z-skits rock. Overall I've been pretty pleased with it, though Colette's voice actor has the most bizarre intonation this side of Yuna.
Let's Positive Linking!
- Posting and You. This should be required viewing before posting on a messageboard, seriously. (From
ahebert.)
- If you've ever seen The Shining, you owe it to yourself to watch this "preview." >D
- Academic analysis of swansex. I think this guy has never seen a real swan, though - he keeps talking about the giant woman and the little bitty swan. Dude, swans are BIG.
- While on the subject of Gilgamesh, check out this page on the Baghdad National Museum situation. Thanks to us, all this stuff is GONE, presumably to disappear into some private collection or possibly just destroyed. The Epic of Gilgamesh tablets, the tablets of Hammurabi's Code...the stuff that was lost is IRREPLACEABLE. >_<
(Last three links are from
jokersama, by the way.)
