Well, I finally beat Radiata Stories - the ending wasn't great but wasn't horrible either, the way I hear the nonhuman path ending is - and now I'm playing through the bonus dungeon. (Of course it has one - it's a tri-Ace game.)

So far I've kicked all the dragons' asses (including the two whose asses I'd kicked before), and wiped the floor with Cairn (Jack's father) as well. Finally I came to Lenneth Valkyrie from Valkyrie Profile, which totally made me squeal like a stuck fanboy. (She even did her slide maneuver from VP!) The scene was actually really funny - she's recruiting Einherjar, and she's all "you're strong, come with me to Valhalla."

Jack: Wouldn't that mean I'd have to die first? No way!
Valkyrie: It'd just be a little stick...

Anyway, Valkyrie then picks a fight with you to kill you and take you for an Einherjar. She's a pretty kickass bitch, and nearly Nibelung Valesti'd my ass into Valhalla, but fortunately I managed to survive her Volty and beat her. Afterwards, she joins your Friends list (where it lists that "her hobbies are purifying immortal souls and collecting Einherjar") and offers to help you fight the next bad guy (Lezard Valeth, also from VP). And she's certainly an asset - all of my other "super characters" (Jack, Elwen, Nyx, Kain) have around 3000 HP, whereas she has around 9000 (!) HP, plus the Volty to end all Volties, Nibelung Valesti. <3 <3 <3

Oh, and completely unrelated: remember that cracked-out fandom pairing meme from a week or so ago? Well, I did a couple of crappy drawings at the time inspired by the bizarre crossover pairings in said meme. I'm hauling out one of them because, since it has Maya in it, it might conceivably be considered a Persona artwork (which jokersama has requested - I'm working on some REAL Persona artwork, but till then this'll have to do).

So, without further ado...

Riiiiiiight. Dude, the first thing I thought when I saw that was, "Ginji's groping Maya-nee! I mean, I know she'd just smile and giggle at being groped, but Ginji couldn't finesse a grope like that! He'd mess up somehow!"

Seriously, I was just trying to do him with his hand around her shoulder (which with Maya and Flonne holding hands would have made a very innocent cheerful picture). Then, as I was coloring it, it suddenly dawned on me: holy crap, Ginji's groping Maya! How did something so totally uncharacteristic happen? O_o
