Rhapsodia in blue

Just finished watching the Rhapsodia trailer at Suikox.com. And all I have to say is...holy shit, this looks like it might be the best Suikoden game EVAR. With a shit-ton of returning characters, SRPG gameplay and even goat-people, how can this game not be good? (Now let's just hope it has the Iron Chef cooking contest from SuikoII!)
And dude, the trailer ends with Brandeau, Kika and Edgar getting ready for the big fight in which Edgar dies and passes on the Rune of Punishment to Brandeau. :D :D :D
Also, Suikoden V has been announced. With an astonishingly feminine-looking male protagonist, dressed in an off-the-shoulders outfit. Quelle surprise. Ah, Konami, it's nice to know there are constants in life: water will always be wet, the IRS will always insist on its pound of flesh, and Suikoden protagonists will always be gay.
Edit: And, in case you've forgotten, Serenity (aka The Firefly Movie) is coming out at the end of the month. And I know you're all going to see it, right? RIGHT? T_T

(And he certainly wasn't keepin' Lulu around for his personality - the kid was a wanker.) As for Chris' lesbitastic sexual tension with Lucia and Geddoe's happy orgy with the other (mostly male) members of his group...well, I believe they speak for themselves. XD

Date: 2005-09-07 06:32 pm (UTC)Well, this interview (http://www.chthonian.net/persona/satomikaneko-tatsuyajun.txt) from the fanbooks with Kaneko and Satomi Tadashi about the subject is pretty funny all the same. "So he's going to bump her off! :D"

Date: 2005-09-07 06:46 pm (UTC)AND LISA DAMMITand Yukino, despite her (clearly immature, and probably related to her daddy complex) infatuation with Fujii, is pretty obviously into Anna. It's only Maya, Ginko and Jun who enjoy driving stick. To be honest, I don't think Tatsuya is NECESSARILY gay - he's what you make of him, and you can pair him up with Maya and Lisa as well. But I think it's significant that the "best" pairing, personality-wise, is Jun - Lisa's WAY too aggressive for the retiring Tacchan, and Maya's a combination of sister/mother to all the other characters, which makes Tatsuya/Maya creepy and vaguely incestuous. (Shades of Cordelia/Connor from Angel.)

Date: 2005-09-07 09:58 pm (UTC)Now, I'm sure you guys've seen bits and pieces of them, but you should try it the same way you did Firefly - watch a full season, episode by episode - and you may find you
appreciate its genius, dammitlike it more.As for Minear, he was behind the critically acclaimed show Wonderfalls. However, it being a Fox show (like Firefly) four episodes were aired, in three different time slots, out of order before it was cancelled for low ratings. (Go figure.) But it's been released on DVD since, so you might want to see if you can get a hold of it. All these should be available from most places that rent TV show seasons - I know the library has Buffy, and I'm betting Blockbuster has all three shows.
