Oh, boy.

The fun, it just doesn't stop.

This morning, about 3:30, we were woken up by a call from my sister. A few days ago (I think it was Thursday, the day the first car went blooie), she took a fall and ruptured a disc in her back. Yesterday morning, we heard that she fell again while trying to go to church (despite being on strict bed rest) and was having more problems, and had to go to the emergency room again. I hadn't written about either of these, mostly because we'd had so much OTHER crap going on. XD

The call in the middle of the night was to say that her live-in boyfriend, who's been the one taking care of her, was in the hospital having emergency surgery for a ruptured kidney, apparently due to something with peritonitis(?), and she was having to call a cab and then hobble down the flights of stairs from her apartment to go to the ER. And of course, she couldn't take her pain pills because they knock her out. So my mom talked her through her panic, and got her in a state where she could get to the ER safely and THEN take the pain pills. x_x

Once we woke up, things didn't go much better. We called a tow truck to take my truck to the mechanic's (to join our OTHER car, which is still there). They get to the lot where we left it, and discover that sometime during the night someone apparently broke into the car and tried to steal it, and in the process broke off the entire steering column. (Just what I needed - more car repairs, YAY. >_<)

So it's looking like it won't be till this weekend I go down to Iowa, and it may just be my stepdad and me because my mom may have to go down to Arizona to take care of my sister and her boyfriend unless they can find someone else. And we may both be renting cars. Or who knows, the way things are going I may end up having to take up rathershady on his offer to move me up to Iowa.

Seriously, this has been THE WEEK FROM HELL. >_<<>

Wow, dude. That is seriously awful. You guys really are taking everything well, considering... I guess there's nothing to do but keep on trucking. Things will get better!
