Strawberry hankies
Mar. 25th, 2006 12:49 pmFirst off, happy birthday to
rathershady! Hope you have a fun one - I wish I could be there for it, but consider me there in spirit anyway. XD
I get to spend today reading yet more Othello criticism. Fun, fun, fun. At least it's halfway interesting because I do love the play...though honestly, how can anyone NOT like the play that coined the phrase "making the beast with two backs"? XD
Also, I just realized my other paper this week, for my Victorian seminar, is due on Wednesday, not Thursday. (Which should have been obvious since I don't have that class on Thursday, but I never claimed to be SMRT or anything.) Which is one day after my Othello bib is due. AUGH. At least it's only three pages and our professor basically said, "it's a three-page criticism review, I don't want you to stress out, it's basically just to get you working on research for your final paper early." Which does make me feel a bit better about the fact that it'll be crappy given that I need to be putting all my effort into my Shakespeare bib. (I shorted my last Shakespeare paper for my Victorian seminar presentation, so now it'll be the other way around, I guess.)
Let's Positive Linking!
- Punny British shop names. I think my favorites are "Right Hair Right Now," "Junk and Disorderly" and "Vinyl Frontier." XD
- If you've ever wanted to watch an hour of nothing but the "99 Luftballons" video nonstop, tomorrow is your chance! I'm betting the person who bought that time is trying to make a political statement or something, but using a not-all-that-great 80s music video to do it perhaps muddles the message, I think. XD
- Peter S. Beagle is having legal troubles. I don't know any kid who grew up in the 80s who hasn't seen The Last Unicorn, and I like his books as well, so this makes me kind of sad. D:
Edit: Edited to use my nifty new PhD icon. XD
