Wow, I never realized there was so much work one had to do to graduate. Party reservation, invitations, blahdy blah blah...It's like planning a wedding or something. I'm tempted to elope with my diploma, but I suppose after a six-year engagement it deserves better than a quickie ceremony in Vegas performed by an Elvis impersonator.
The unguessed answers to the "favorite fandom characters" meme:
Mint (Threads of Fate) - This should have been entirely obvious...I even have an LJ icon of her! She's the brash, bitchy princess whose goal is WORLD DOMINATION - how could I NOT like her? XD
Anya (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) - She's an snarky, 1100-year-old vengeance demon with bunnyphobia...and utterly endearing. Plus she always tells the truth (even when it's not advisable). The main reason I disliked Xander for three or four seasons was because of his crappy treatment of her. While I love just about all the Buffy characters to death, I would have to say Anya is my favorite. I mean, what other character has a rock opera number about the evil bunnies?
Tohru Honda (Fruits Basket) - Now a complete change of pace. Tohru's like the ultimate NON-annoying typical shojo manga heroine - dippy without being vapid, sweet without being cloying, innocent without being stupid. (Well, OK, she might be a LITTLE stupid.) Also, she manages to articulate, in her stories about her mom, pretty much every principle I try to live by. And she's adorable.
Flonne (Disgaea) - She's very much like Tohru, actually - a dippy Angel Trainee who's sent down to the Netherworld to teach its Overlord about love. While I liked most of the characters, Flonne is definitely my favorite - though her "behold the power ofCheese Love!" speeches can get a little old after a while, overall I really enjoyed her character and was sad at the end. Plus, she's a hella powerful mage in battle - I gave her Star spells and she ended up gaining more levels and doing more damage than anyone in my party until I picked up a Majin.
Croix (La Pucelle) - I like his character design and his snarky sense of humor, and his status as my favorite character was cemented when, in order to try to put out the fire on the airship Escargot, he unzips and takes a leak on the flames. XD
Countess (Gilgamesh) - I haven't seen most of this series, and I actually love most of the characters and their utter disturbing wrongness, but I've gotta go with
enkiae and say that my fave is the Countess. Between molesting little boys, calling Tatsuya and Kiyoko on their incestuous affair unsiblinglike attachment to each other, and just in general being a complete high-class badass bitch, she rises above all the other characters easily. (I wonder whether that will change when I see more of the series.)
Tasuki (Fushigi Yuugi) - I don't normally like the brash hotheads (except for Marmalade Boy's Ginta), but I like Tasuki quite a bit. He's loyal and a big softie inside (and doesn't hide it very well). Plus, he has fangs. I like that for some reason. (Maybe because my canines are kind of pointy too.)
Marle (Chrono Trigger) - Yes, I know she's got MAD MARY SUE POWAHZ, and she's mostly helpless and kinda annoying, but for some reason she's my favorite character. I like her character design, and the way she kind of takes over leadership of the party when Crono dies, and does everything she can to get him back, redeems her for me.
