How can you not love a frog with an afro?

Heard on the GameFAQs Digital Devil Saga board: Although Sera looked teh hawtness to me before, it now seems like she's slightly downs-syndrome-like. I blame the forehead.
HEE HEE.
...I finally watched the first episode of Keroro Gunsou/Sgt. Frog. Man, I LOVE this show/manga. It is adorably fubar to the nth degree.
For those of you unfamilar with the show, five froglike aliens from the planet Keron descent to the planet Pekopon (aka Earth) in order to prepare for an invasion. But when their leader, Sergeant Keroro, is discovered by the Hinata family, the Keron invasion force battalion leaves, abandoning the five froggies on Pekopon. The two Hinata children, Fuyuki (a seventh-grade boy who's a member of the school's occult club) and Natsumi (a ninth-grade girl who's an athletic school idol) and their busty mother Aki (a manga editor) take in Keroro, and he ends up as a POW in the Hinata household. He's half maid, half family pet, but 100% scheming to take over Pekopon once and for all. Fortunately, he's easily distracted by Web surfing, afros and Gundam models, so he's not very effective at conquering the planet.
Eventually the other four frogs show up - Private Tamama, the adorable tadpole who worships Keroro and changes from cute mascot to death-beam-spewing rageaholic in the blink of an eye; Keroro's immediate inferior Giroro, the angry militaryman frog who has a crush on the tough Natsumi; Kururu, the genius but bizarre intelligence officer who can send out "waves"; and Dororo, the emo ninja froggie (who I have yet to encounter in the manga or anime, but it's only a matter of time).
And I fail to see how ANYONE can not like the 70s-funk-esque ending song, with the CG frogs dancing (the eternally angry Giroro as a backup dancer is especially funny) with random shots of an afro-haired, leisure suit-wearing Keroro. XD

I'm really looking forward to the next episode when Fuyuki's classmate Momoka and her pet - who happens to be Tamama - show up. :D
Anyway, I have decided that I am Tamama in Pekoponian form, so as soon as I find a Tamama LJ icon that will become my new default.
Let's Positive Linking!
- In line with the Keroro Gunsou love, I covet this Tamama plush keychain.
- Congress moves to restrict court rulings on God. (Link from
angrybabble.) This is fucking scary, and of course it's merely a footnote in today's media. The last thing we need is fucking asshats claiming that a belief in God lets them do whatever they want. (And believe me, it'd happen.)
- And speaking of asshats, here's an anti-comic book essay written by someone with his head so far up his ass he saw his own bowels and mistook it for the world outside. Honestly, while the whole "comic book guy" stereotype came into existence for a reason, it's now more true than not. I love how he implies - no, outright STATES - that ALL comic book fans are maladjusted males who hate women so much that they want nothing more than to see them degraded. I also love how he manages to contradict himself several times, and come off as generally a gigantic fucktard. >_<
- And as a GetBackers fan, my faith in humanity - though normally quite strong - has been truly shaken by the discovery of
ginji_rape (also from
angrybabble), an LJ community devoted solely to "the rapeableness of Ginji." >_
