Part of me really wants to have a playthrough of the scariest, freakiest survival horror game I can think of, in a pitch-black room, during a thunderstorm...with some nauseatingly cheerful cheesepop like S Club or Aqua playing in the background. Would it make the game less scary? More scary? Would it break me of my fondness for these groups? Would I have flashbacks to zombie dogs every time "Barbie Girl" started playing? THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT.
...I watched the premiere of Family Guy with
rathershady and
courters28 yesterday evening. Aside from some cracks about Firefly and Wonderfalls (and they didn't even mention Tru Calling!), it was really good. Mel Gibson as the North by Northwest-esque villain with a cadre of priest-ninjas was amusing (as was Passion of the Christ 2), and the line "Christians don't believe in gravity!" was hilarious. I'd forgotten how much I like the show, given that it's been like four or five years since I've seen an episode. x_x
Sadly, American Dad - the new show by the creator of FG - was not so good. It was kind of lackluster, the redheaded stepchild of FG. Still, it had some funny moments. However, after that we were reduced to watching Grey's Anatomy, which I'd never seen before but was BAD. Even Katherine Heigl and Sandra Oh couldn't save it. (And somehow -
jokersama, correct me if I'm wrong - but med students don't have the TIME for all those soapy shenanigans, right?)
Well, must finish up my thesis and study for a geology final. Whee.
