IT'S COLD DAMMIT

Welp, we've already lost power once today for a few hours - it's back on now, but who knows for how long. It's thanks to a pretty nasty-ass ice storm sweeping through the area - more will probably follow before it's over. (And right when I'm under the gun for grad school apps, too - dammit!) So don't expect any regular entries from me, aside from maybe a phone post a little bit in the future.

And to think just 5-6 days ago we had nice 70+ degree weather.

I remember calling my mom last Wednesday, and finding out it was warmer here than it was in Key West.

I know! Only here it was just a couple of days ago - I mean, on the 2nd it was balmy and springlike, and by the 4th it was freezing rain and starting to snow. The climate weather (we have no climate, just weather) here in the Midwest is INSANE.
