why is this game so awesome

gogmagogNow that comps is over and I've got a little breathing room, I finally made it back to Persona 4 for the first time in months; I'm reminded of how much I love this game, and I just maxed out Kanji's S.Link, and ARGHHHHHH SO ADORABLE
But augh why can you not date him? Especially since in his Rank 10 event they seem to totally be setting up for some kind of confession: he asks to come over to your house, and feels like this is the place to "tell you something", and then it just turns out to be some lame thing about Rise ragging on his doll-making but ending up being okay with it in the end and how he's learned that this is what true strength is, blah blah blah ARGH WHY DO YOU TEASE ME LIKE THIS ATLUS, JUST LET ME DATE HIM ALREADY
Still, the homemade cellphone strap which represents Kanji's feelings was totally sweet and IN MY HEAD IT MEANS BOWLCUT-KUN AND KANJI ARE DATING (because I'm sure they have matching straps), I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE ELSE SAYS, LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU
I've also maxed out Brosuke's S.Link, and I just hit Rank 8 in Yukiko's, which means at the next level I have to decide whether I want to date her or not (if I have to date a girl, she's probably in my top spot just because of her total dementedness underneath all the yamatonadeshiko-ness). But I hear that at some point, if you don't date any of the girls, you get the guys getting together with you for an event or something to replace a date? And much as I love Yukiko and the other girls in the party (a little more meh on the non-party ladies, except maybe Nurse Sexytimes), anything involving Yosuke, Kanji and Teddie would be way more epic (I'm just sayin'). Right now I'm frantically trying to max my Expression so I can continue Nanako's S.Link; I probably should have done so before all the summer homework-help events that gave me all those bonus points to my Justice S.Link but oh wells (hopefully I haven't screwed myself over too much on this one).
