Frankly, ardeur? I don't give a damn

Apparently Penny Arcade has discovered the Anita Blake series.

That is, however, possibly the best sum-up of the series I have ever seen though, and the main reason I stopped reading them after Obsidian Butterfly. Fun, slightly cheesy vampire-executing romantic suspense antics are good; the formerly celibate heroine being spit-roasted by two werepeople, WHILE THEY ARE IN WERE FORM, is not so much with the good.

After being linked from the related PA news entry to LKH's site, though, I saw the following banner and facefaulted:

(It's worth watching all the way through, because as bad as "Hero" is, "Touch My Body" is TEN TIMES WORSE. THAT CHORUS WAS NOT MEANT TO BE SUNG BY MEN, EVEN IF ENGLISH WAS THEIR NATIVE LANGUAGE AND THEY COULD SING.)
