In other news, jokersama is a filthy pornmonger who during her Australian vacation has managed to get me reading RPS fanfic. (That's "real person slash" to the uninitiated.)

(The pairing, for the curious, is Simon Amstell [of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and the dude mimsily drinking a pint in my icon] and Noel Fielding [of The Mighty Boosh]. Basically, Simon is a bitchy, acerbic game show host, and Noel is a silly comedian with fabulous hair who has been on Simon's show both as guest and as guest team leader. OMGTHEIRLUVISSOBRITISH.)

In yet other news, I just realized that my LJ has been around for over five years. It feels strange to have been posting for that long...I wonder how many words that would add up to. Anyway, now I feel sorry I didn't notice at the time, or I would have celebrated on my LJ.

Anyway, it's time for me to start preparing to teach. THEN THE WEEKEND, FINALLY...WATCH OUT ATELIER IRIS HERE I COME

...I figure it's late enough in the PS2's lifespan to look back on the games released for it as a whole. And specifically, my chosen genre of game, the RPG. So, bored and fueled by cinnamon bears, I am making a top ten list of the best PS2 RPGs ever.

Okay! Making this post was one of my goals for the weekend; others are making a post about cracktastic yaoi manga (the one I've been promising for like 3 months), posting about how the manga Princess Princess changed my life (...kinda), posting some Old English riddles that enkiae was asking about, playing a shitload of Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana, and watching a shitton of Doctor Who (they tried to deliver my megaset today but I was off teaching, so I get to go to the Post Office and pick it up tomorrow, whee!).

...I may or may not have just bought the yarn to knit a Doctor Who Scarf.

To be fair, I have been getting back into knitting, and this has the added benefit of being a) super-easy, since it's nothing but garter stitch, and b) completely germane to all the Who-watching I'll be doing once I get my big box o' Who tomorrow morning.
