Ow, I think I threw out my back helping the guy carry my sofa in. It's super-achey. :(

Is it wrong that I totally want to see Underworld: Evolution? I liked the first one, and the sequel seems mindless but fun. Also, it has the inevitably awesome DEREK JACOBI (of I, Claudius and Cadfael fame). In fact, the original kinda reminded me of a hipper, gothier Anita Blake (before Laurell K. Hamilton went all wacky S&M Anne Rice and her formerly uptight, celibate heroine started being tag-teamed by werewolves - in wolf form, no less, which...EW).

Speaking of mindless fun, the Dirge of Cerberus trailer is out. Has it been out for a while? Because the first I'd heard about it was the link on firestorm717's journal, but given it's coming out in Japan in less than a week that seems late. XD

I also never fail to be endlessly amused that Gackt is doing the theme song AND playing a character in it. XD

- Heart attack cures blindness. (From ahebert.) That's pretty cool, and kind of a heartwarming story.
- AGH CUTE OVERLOAD. (From eikitty.) The cheeks...and the corn kernel...asdfsghk
- Paris Hilton pees in cab. Although what can you expect, given that it's Paris Hilton? (As a sidenote, if you haven't read the text in her hacked Sidekick, you should, if for nothing more than the hilarity of reading "black eye pees" or "Carsondaily.")
- NOLA mayor makes comments designed to offend pretty much everyone. That doesn't change the fact that an actual chocolate city would be frickin' SWEET. (No pun intended.) Imagine eating Ghirardelli and Cadbury buildings. Mmmmm...
- Stop Uwe Boll petition. In case you're wondering, he's the creator of such schlocky loosely-based-on-videogame movies as Alone in the Dark and the recently released BloodRayne.
- Ashley Angel, formerly of O-Town, has MTV reality show. Sadly, I don't remember him from O-Town, but from being the voice of Alex in Lunar. XD
He played the character in both the original for Sega CD and the PSX remake. According to the IMDb, apparently his mother played Phacia as well.
- Nick Lachey has high expectations for a new woman. He wants a sexy Latina who looks like Jessica Alba, has had less than ten sexual partners, and respects his mad love for the sports and (possibly more difficult) his music. I mean, I actually like boybands and even I thought 98 Degrees put out pretty forgettable schlock.
- Haha, opponents of eminent domain are trying to use it to take the home of the judge who okayed it. While it's funny, it's not just that judge; the abuse of eminent domain is a more overarching problem, as we've seen in KC (some of you may remember the "UMKC Kills Our Homes" debacle a few years back).
- Black gay rights group attempts to get clergy to support rather than oppose gay rights. Al Sharpton is supporting them, which made me dislike him a bit less. On a similar note, Coretta Scott King's matter-of-fact support of it is yet another reason why she ROCKS.
