Petro retro
Jun. 12th, 2005 11:55 pmIn very happy news, Governor Stumpy's has decided to make their lemon cake a regular menu offering...right before I have to leave Kansas City. Still, w00t! :D
In less happy news, I tried to take my parents to Howl's Moving Castle yesterday, only to discover that despite it being listed in the newspaper and on the Kansas City Star website, it won't actually be opening until next weekend. :(
Today was pretty busy.
courters28 was in town for the first time since graduation, so she,
rathershady and I hung out for most of the day. It was nice to see her again, since it had been so long (about a month). We played miniature golf - me for the first time - at a place near Mission Mall, which was apparently really frickin' hard for a mini-golf course (lots of water hazards and thin bridges and the like). But even so, I wasn't doing too badly by the end.
We also watched the last two-thirds of But I'm a Cheerleader (which is really funny) and About a Boy, played some Carcasonne, ate some steaks, and watched Family Guy and American Dad. Man, Seth MacFarlane is stretched thin - he's got about enough funny jokes for one show, so having two just isn't so much working for him. :(
In completely unrelated news, read this article about the security of our border. Though anyone who would let that man into the country with a bloody chainsaw is just insane. I mean, look at the picture with this article. I wouldn't trust that crazy-ass-looking man as far as I could throw him.
...sorry this entry is so fragmented, I'm just really sleepy and need to get on to bed. x_x
