gogmagog: The Fourth Doctor from Doctor Who ("Special stew" (by Jeanne of VGR))
After having played more Digital Devil Saga, I've decided that Heat's just a big old psychopathic softie. Awwww. (In fact, the entire game is giving me warm fuzzies. Cannibalism was never so sweet before.)

I just beat Varin/Ravana and am getting ready to enter the Karma Temple, in case you're wondering where I am at the moment. (And Sera finally came in handy during that boss fight, only 20+ hours into the game!) Beating Ravana was pretty easy, between Serph's Null Element, Heat's Void Phys, and Gale's Mediarama. I'm trying to get every Mantra for every character on the first playthrough, or at least come close (all but the most expensive ones, maybe). It's just that some of those Mantra are SO DAMN EXPENSIVE, ARGH WTF. >F

My GameShark is emitting a siren call, letting me know that I could easily hunt down an Infinite Macca code. But no! I will persevere!

Also, I have decided that the reason Sera looks kind of familiar is that she reminds me of a girl I know - one of [livejournal.com profile] rathershady's friends - who has the same short black hair. (She's nowhere near as Mary Sue-ish as Sera, though, thank God.)

I'm getting ready to enter what I think is the last dungeon, but I'm already really pumped for DDS2. :D

The Good:
- New watch! ...Well, kind of. I've been without a watch for about a year since the one I got in England broke. But today as I was working on cleaning up my room, I found a Final Fantasy X watch I'd picked up on eBay a few years ago and never worn. All it needs is a battery. :D
(Yes, I AM a huge dork, why do you ask?)

- We're into the part of the year where our garden's REALLY nice; I spent quite a while today outside just admiring the flowers and enjoying the smell of defeat honeysuckle.

- I discovered a great new restaurant today! My parents and I often go out to the Town Center Plaza area at 119th and Metcalf (way out in the suburban boonies), and while on our way to the bookstore out there we always notice this restaurant called the Elephant Bar. We finally went there, and it's great! Great food, great desserts (in ginormous portions), great service...I once read a review of it in the Pitch, and the only thing they faulted it on was the lack of attractive people there. (Of course, this was by Charles Ferruzza, the assiest old food reviewer I've ever heard of.) The ambience is also quite nice, with high-backed booths each - with their own window - that make you feel like you're sitting in an old-fashioned dining car on the Orient Express or something. Yay for imperialist decor!

The Bad:
- While eating a delicious bite of chicken at the aforementioned Elephant Bar, a bit of super-hot chicken juice splashed on my lip and burned it. I have a feeling it will leave a blister, so I'm glad I don't have anywhere to go in the near future; I don't want to have to run around in public looking like I have herpes or something. x_x

- I saw a centipede in my room today, and by the time I found a shoe to hit it with, it had disappeared. It's far away from my bed, but just out of curiosity is it possible to die from centipede venom? I kind of have this phobia thing about bugs.

The Rest:
- Today I wore tennis shoes for the first time outside of the gym in, like, four or five years. It's kind of weird, and it makes me feel very little-kiddish, but I guess I'll get used to them again quickly enough. It's unlikely they'll save my ass when stepping on six-inch nails, though, like my other shoes did the other day.

And a poll:

[Poll #499546]

Edit: Seriously, dudes, Google has been introducing the coolest services ever, like Google SMS and satellite maps. Personally, I'm waiting for the Google service that irons your underwear and mows the lawn. Or, failing that, Google Porn Search, which lets you input your various fetishes and get perfectly tailored results. XD

Edit 2: Apparently the voice of Aizen in Bleach is done by Sho Hayami, a.k.a. Ginji from Persona 2: Innocent Sin. Somehow this seems oddly appropriate. >D

Edit 3: (In case you're wondering, manpris = man capris.)
