I've found that something I once read on the Internet is true: if you watch enough Marmalade Boy, at every major or climactic moment in your life you WILL have "Moment" spontaneously playing in your head.
(At least my life is considerably less soapy than MB - otherwise I'd probably have to kill myself.)
Also, I have to say that my linguistics professor, Dr. Stroik, is the coolest EVAR. Basically, in class today we were discussing the agency of the word "kill," and how you can kill someone accidentally or on purpose. (We're currently moving into the theta theory of language, havingmuddled our way through mastered X-bar theory.) When we say a tree "kills" someone, therefore, we actually mean that it fell on someone and that person died, because saying that "the tree killed him on purpose" or "the tree killed him accidentally" is kind of absurd when you think about it. He then mentioned that the Ents in Lord of the Rings were the exception, and did a short demonstration of Treebeard lumbering around stomping people. XD
Edit: (Crappy) GIP. All my MB rambling means that I must have an appropriate icon. Also, happy birthday to
sergiekins!
