Big pimpin'
Feb. 7th, 2005 09:57 pmSadly, while I should be studying for my Linguistics test tomorrow, I'm writing this LJ entry. I think it may be time to stage an intervention.

1. Reply with your name and I will then write something about you.
2. I will then tell you what song reminds me of you.
3. Next, I will tell you who you remind me of, celebrity, animated or otherwise.
4. Last, I will try to name a single word that best describes you.
5. Put this in your journal.
Well, my weekend was relatively uneventful. On Saturday I split a log that had fallen during the last big ice storm we had and that had been blocking our front walk ever since, which made me feel all manly and stuff (a pretty rare thing for me). Then we went out to Papa Keno's for supper - we're trying other pizza restaurants since my favorite, Torre's, is rapidly going the way of the dinosaurs. It was pretty good, but I think I'm still gonna keep looking. ;_;
Yesterday my mom and I went to get a haircut, and accidentally locked her keys in the car, forcing my stepdad to walk from our house at 76th and Troost to meet us (with his keys) at the Great Clips at 75th and State Line, which is quite a trek. Then we went out to meet my aunt Becky in Johnson County, to which meeting I wore my brand spankin' new "Value Your Vagina" T-shirt. My aunt's kinda born-again Christian (but at least in a sane way), and of course Johnson County is like, queen suburb of suburbia kingdom, so I got some decent reactions. >D
Today I underwent Safe Space training - UMKC's LGBT tolerance/diversity program. It was pretty fun, and not the waste of time I thought it would be (even though I knew pretty much everything covered in it). Then this evening, we went to my favorite restaurant, Governor Stumpy's, for supper. And they officially ROCK. Not only did they give us a $50 donation for V-Day, but they're putting copies of our fliers in all of their menus. >D
So if you live anywhere near Kansas City, I highly recommend it. It's like Cheers, if Cheers were a restaurant that just happened to have a small bar attached. It's owned by an Irish-American family, and they're really friendly and the food is great. It's located at the corner of Gregory and Oak, catty-corner from SRO Video (if you know where that is).
And as a complete non sequitur, this kid's a better driver than I am. XD
