All my classes should be like this. XD
Jan. 21st, 2005 04:32 pmI had the funnest class EVAR in American Lit today. See, we've been reading some early American Puritan narratives, and while at first I thought it would be religious and deadly dull, I quickly found myself corrected. While there's plenty of the "smite the sinners, blah blah blah" stuff, there's quite a bit of highly Special stuff as well.
We're currently reading Bradford's Of Plymouth Plantation (he was one of the Pilgrims, and an early governor of the colony) and it's been...educational. A selection from my reading, which is a story about Pilgrims and turkey that you DIDN'T learn in grade school:
( Cut for length and also because reading it will make you never want to celebrate Thanksgiving again...at least not with a turkey. ) And people say history is boring. >D
