You know, it would suck to die unexpectedly on April Fool's Day. People would call your family members/friends/etc. and tell them, "Hey, so-and-so just died," and they'd be like, "No he didn't! You're just trying to pull an April Fool's trick on me!" And then once they learned it really was true, they'd feel really crappy.
And yes, I'm aware that was totally random.
Anyway, back on topic. It's nearing the end of the year, so I guess it's time to make one of my periodic "looking back on the past year" posts. (I know, I know, just what everyone was clamoring for.)
( The year in retrospect )
Tomorrow I have to go to Panaderia Reynas in Kansas City, KS to pick up some Mexican bread and tamales for the office Christmas party on Thursday; I also need to try my hand at making some flan to take in to the party. (The theme is "Feliz Navidad," in case you were wondering - hence all the Mexican food.) On the plus side, I've got a metric fuckton of knitting done over the last couple of days (well, OK, half of a scarf, but given that I just learned it properly on Thursday, that's not bad). Between all the baking and knitting I've done lately, I feel so domestic and girly - at least I haven't started designing orthopedic shoes yet. XD
