Randomness
Jul. 28th, 2004 10:11 amWow, two entries in 24 hours...I haven't managed that in ages!
I'm thinking of buying myself a birthday present. As you know, I was burglarized a couple of months ago, and one of the things that was taken was my international VCR. This means, of course, that my 19 British Buffy/Angel boxed sets (seasons 1-6 of the former and 1-4 of the latter) are unplayable.
I'll keep the boxed sets, of course - given that I'm planning to live in England, I'll be able to play them there - but in the meantime I need to get my Buffy/Angel fix, especially since there's no new Buffy/Angel to look forward to.
Amazon.com has a deal - Buffy seasons 1-4 on DVD for $125 and Angel seasons 1-3 on DVD for $100. That means $225 for what are essentially seven separate boxed sets, which is a damn good deal and still cheaper than replacing my $400+ international VCR. But still, I'd feel kinda wasteful paying $225 for something I already own, even though I can't use it. So I'm feeling torn at the moment.
Edit: Ooh, or Overstock.com has the first Marmalade Boy boxed set for $60, as opposed to Amazon.com's $90.
...In fact, it seems that Overstock has generally very good prices on anime boxed sets. Hmmmmmm... (Imagine that said in the voice of that one psycho Skeksi from The Dark Crystal, and that's how I said it.)
