Apr. 12th, 2004 04:22 pmWelp, the Weekend That Wasn't Really a Weekend is finally over. Saturday went pretty well - despite my lack of confidence in my paper at first, in my humble opinion it turned out to be the best paper of the 6 that I heard, as well as the most skillfully presented. (And my professor/panelist seemed to like it!) So now I'm feeling better about it, needless to say. And hey, I've now survived my first (pseudo-)academic conference!
(I may post the paper here later, if anyone actually wants to see it.)
Then yesterday we went down to Topeka for our usual Easter family get-together, which was nice, but hardly relaxing (family being what it is). And between heading down there and coming back, the day was pretty much done for. So I really feel like I didn't get much of a weekend. ;_;
Oh well, at least I've got a couple of days before the paper deadlines reach critical mass. So there will be some Disgaea and Firefly in my near future, I think. >D
- Some interesting scholarly papers on video games
- In case you haven't seen it already, it appears that Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner (the newest Shin Megami Tensei game in Japan) has a US website. FEEL THE ATLUS OF AMERICA LUV <3 <3 <3
