Rhapsodia is coming out in...November, I think(?) for the PS2. RPGFan has recently added some new pictures to their section on the game (http://www.rpgfan.com/pics/rhapsodia/index.html), if you want to take a look. Just from a casual glance, several more returning characters (Chiepoo and Flare) have been revealed. :D
If you're looking for SRPGs, have you tried the Nippon Ichi series (Disgaea, La Pucelle, Phantom Brave, Phantom Kingdom)? 'Cause they're pretty fun, more than a little zany, and kick much ass.
As for the story of Innocent Sin...you can find the script translation at The Oracle of Maiya (http://yoridori.org/oracle/), but if you're just looking for a short summary, can I point you to (shameless plug) my dead webpage (http://j.students.umkc.edu/jpr4c7/) (which I'm hoping to eventually resurrect, but that won't be until I have Internet at home at the very least). Under the Persona World Guidance -> Persona Chronicle section is a translation of PWG's "event digest" for IS.
