Cooking mishaps and links

gogmagogI love downloading at 39 MB/second. BROADBAND = LOVE.
Anyway, this evening I made flan for the office Christmas party tomorrow. Or maybe I should say, I tried to make flan and ended up making custard. (What's the difference, you ask? Flan - the traditional kind - has a hard caramel shell over the custard.) The reason for the change is that caramelizing sugar is a bitch to do, and my attempt at it this evening failed pretty miserably. So sorry guys, no caramel tomorrow - just custard. :(

jokersama) and KCTV Channel 5 claims an 80-year-old man selling lawn fertilizer is actually selling OMG EXPLOSIVES. Ahh, the incredible heights of stupidity that people can aspire to...good times, y'all.
