This upcoming week involves me turning in my comps portfolio (tomorrow), a visiting scholar whom I really need to impress since I'm doing a dissertation revolving around antisemitism and he is an authority on the subject (Tuesday), and the booksale for the student organization of which I am co-president (Tuesday through Thursday). Also two doctor's appointments (including one with a psychiatrist where I can hopefully get something prescribed to will help with the anxiety, since the regular strategies seem to be doing fuck-all), and a couple of other minor things, in addition to my regular schedule. Also I promised my Gen Ed Lit students I would have their papers graded and back to them tomorrow (since I try never to take more than 2 weeks to get papers back).

...I'm fairly sure this week will make me die a little inside with every day that passes. Oh well, maybe I can catch a break on Friday at some point. And hopefully next weekend, in spite of preparation for the ORAL part of my comps exam, I will be able to actually enjoy a proper weekend for the first time in like forever.

I love that hotels.com commercial too! It's one of the few commercials I haven't gotten tired of. I just love that guy saying "It's working!" :)

And thanks! At least my portfolio is out of the way now; it's not perfect, but it's done (by necessity, admittedly) and turned in, and that's something, at least!
