Well, I rarely get into TV shows until they come out on DVD it seems (and frequently not until said DVDs come down in price/go on sale), unless there's some pre-existing reason for me to do so (i.e., it's by someone who I already like the work of). So most of the time I don't manage to get into threatened niche TV shows until they're already cancelled (also see: Arrested Development).
