I've been preaching Heroes off and on (mostly off) since I started watching, which was around ep 6 or 7 I think, but now that they're ratcheting things up in preparation for the season finale, every episode has me going "ZOMG O_O" and I just can't hold back my TV-evangelizing (televangelizing?) any longer. XD

I dunno, I'm not sure they're gonna do that entirely (though I've heard that too); obviously I have a feeling some folks are gonna get killed off, but in that EW interview at least some current major characters talked about character arcs for next season, which I think raises the probability that those characters will probably not die (though I guess that could be misdirection). Though from what they say in EW about the general direction of next season, it seems pretty clear that some less major characters introduced this season will have a much larger part to play in S2, so there will at least be SOME mixing up of the cast.

I mean, I think it's a good thing to keep us on the edge of our seats that any character is at risk - it definitely is good not to let your audience get too complacent - but I think Heroes does a pretty good job of that, in that a couple of main characters have already died, and I imagine the finale will have a pretty high death toll too. (If nothing else, Radioactive Ted at the very least must be slated to die so that Sylar can be blamed for the bomb going off, and I worry for a lot of the other characters, especially Nathan, Mr. Bennet and Ando.)

I kind of see it like Firefly - Joss hadn't killed any major characters in the TV show, but man, the end of that movie seriously had me thinking that he was going to kill EVERYBODY off, even though he didn't end up doing so. Nevertheless, two people died, and I will never trust again that ANYONE is "safe" in that universe. And I kinda have a feeling the finale to this season of Heroes will be the same way.
