yeah, it's like, do the people making clothes for plus-size individuals really want to undermine them that badly? do they really want them to dress that badly? i don't even shop in the plus-size section (i can fit some juniors stuff, which amuses and disturbs me alternately but also means i can get cute hello kitty stuff @ target XD), but i see how bad it is. it's a good thing my mom really mostly wears office attire, because she'd have NO luck finding anything decent + casual, or a nice evening dress type thing. :P hell, it's not always easy to find something that isn't hideous and overpriced in a "normal" size, let alone any specialty sizes!

and don't get me started on petites, which is also where i usually have to get my clothing from unless i want to let it sit in a pile for months while i work up the mindset to fight with my sewing machine long enough to hem the items in question. XD

[livejournal.com profile] spaz_666's mom shopped (dunno if she still does) at Von Maur, i meant to mention. i've only been in one of those once, and there was also a pianist. it was very strange, even moreso than the first time i ever went in a Nordstrom's. give me Target any day. and i've recently discovered Charlotte Russe has cheap, cute jewelry, although i suppose that doesn't matter much to you, but really $3-$5 for a pair of earrings vs. $10-$30 kinda wins any day. XD
