Let us salute our midget overlords
Okay, sneezing with food in your mouth? Kinda gross. Ew.
Well, getting some food and some sleep yesterday mostly restored my equilibrium, and some Gilgamesh therapy finished the job. (The first volume, with nifty series box, was part of my last O.com package.) So far I've watched the first episode with the dub on, and I'm pleasantly surprised by said dub. There are some differences - Tohru and Kiyoko have slightly deeper voices than I expected, and of course Novem has lost the sexy Shigeru Shibuya rumble - but overall I'd say they caught the characters pretty well. Tatsuya seems a little more teenaged-boy-sounding than the Japanese original, which I actually kinda like, and (MOST importantly) the Countess seems pitch-perfect so far. :D
Now it only remains to see how they handle all the weird incestuoussubtext text in the dub. >D
Anyway, I look forward to watching the other episodes with the dub on. And then in Japanese with subs on. ...Goddamn, but I love this show. And it, of course, triggered me to make a stab at comic fanart. (Spoilers for the very end of the series.) Not sure whether it succeeded in being funny, and the background SUCKS DONKEY BALLS, but overall I think my "art" is improving.
HAHAHAHA I am like the furthest thing from a fashionista (fashionisto?) EVAR. Honestly, I would have figured on Librarian...that's the description that sounds most like me.

[Tasteful Original Deliberate Prissy] One is certain: you have great taste and plenty of ideas. You have clearly defined beliefs about what's good and what's bad in fashion but they are far from banal. Stylish and imaginative, you prefer to inspire admiration than to shock and you mostly succeed. Even if sometimes you'd like to have more courage to put on something absolutely outrageous you do great job in creating a unique look that others look up to. There is a possibility that you work in the fashion industry. If you don't, perhaps you should. The opposite style from yours is Bar Cruiser [Flamboyant Conventional Random Sexy].
