TWO YEARS OMG LOL W00T
I actually forgot about this before, but Sunday was the two-year anniversary of my LJ.
...Geez, that's hard to believe. In a couple of ways, actually - on the one hand, it seems like yesterday that I started it, but on the other hand, so much has happened and I've posted about so much in LJ that it's hard to believe it's only been two years. x_x
Anyway, to celebrate, a link to my first post (circa January 7, 2003), in which the following are revealed for the first time:
- my greedy consumer lust (ahh, for the good ol' days of j-shopping in London)
- my gaming madness (half of the post is "OMG FFT ADVANCE!!1!")
- the creepy brain-sharing between myself and
satsu (Because we're actually the same person! Have you ever seen us in the same place, seriously? See?)
Other LJ stats:
- over 600 posts (I hit this around the same time I did the two-year mark)
- over 1400 comments posted and over 1600 received
Wow. O_o
I do find it deplorable that I'm the only person on LJ with "university of missouri-kansas city" listed as an interest. ;_;
In less happy news, I think I'm coming down with whatever bug
rathershady is suffering from. :(
Edit:
jantalaimon, I see what you mean about Last.FM's habit of Holly Valance-ing you. XD

If it makes you feel any better, I never "got" the popularity of the whole Buffy thing.
You know, should you find yourself in the UK again we should hang out sometime. I promise not to get you drunk and attempt to seduce you.

i get way too much Holly Valance and at the same time not enough Kylie or Girls Aloud. if i'm gonna do silly dansudansu girlypop, i wanna do
kwquality girliedansudansu p0p, yanno? XDAND ANY MANDY MOORE IS WAY TOO MUCH MANDY MOORE, OMG. i mean, i can appreciate the p0p, sure, but i have standards, j0. Mandy Moore is WAY OVER THE LINE OF ACCEPTABILITY. XD

And we should definitely hang out
after my inevitable acceptance to Oxfordthe next time I'm in the UK which will hopefully be this fall! And is it still OK if I attempt to seduce you? >D

And WORD on the Mandy Moore. (I can actually stomach her acting much better than her music, oddly enough.)

Girls Aloud isn't quite the fun Kylie is, but it really depends what song. some are of course more poptastic than others. but, yanno, we can't all be Shampoo. XDXD
i think i can't even stand to look at Mandy Moore longer than i have to. i mean, she's not as frightening as Jessica Simpson (the alleged attractiveness of which i CANNOT fathom. i mean, with most people i don't personally find attractive, i can at least reason to myself how someone else might, you know? not JS. or Denise Richards, either, but i think that's because i keep expecting her eyebrows to mutate into giant caterpillars with teeth and eat me alive. XD).
now there's a question: who's more listenable, Mandy Moore or Jessica Simpson? i think i'd rather shoot myself with thumbtacks than listen to either. XD

(I do rather like Denise Richards, but that may be residual goodwill from her hilarious role as White She-Devil in Undercover Brother. XD)
And I would concur on the thumbtacks...if it's a choice between those two, grievous bodily harm is always preferable.

Well, if you're discreet about it.
