AHHHAHAHAHAH. Cry. It's funny because if they want to use Bran and ... pretty much everything in the later books, they... why take out the Arthurian mythos?
Like on one hand I'm happy Cooper will be getting money from the movie licenses, on the other hand, I'm never really sure what's the point of Hollywood selling it as an adaptation of the book if they're going to toss the book out the window? Why not just say "Inspired by" and then give it a different title or something? That's what they do to all those Philip K Dick stories. I... yeah I don't know. The film might be great, but it's really not going to be The Dark is Rising, which is just eh, weird.
I think the family thing pisses me off the most. It's just so rare to see a supportive family/non-emo hero, and agrahrawhe, now we're back to the cliche. >_<
